Collect & Connect Communities Project with Tesco Bags for Help

Kench Hill Charity has been chosen as one of the recipients of funding from Tenterden Tesco’s Bags for Help Scheme. £1000 will enable local schoolchildren to visit Kench Hill for a day of outdoor learning. We will use our minibus to collect groups of children from village schools each week, to learn about wildlife, nature, food growing and healthy eating in our wonderfully biodiverse site . For 40 years Kench Hill’s garden has been used to connect inner-city children with nature, but with today’s modern technology we have discovered that many children from rural areas have also disconnected from the outdoors.  The grant funds travel costs and specialist tutors for a memorable day of learning for local children at our fabulous facility.
