Kench Hill's future Plans - have your say
We are always trying to improve and are now thinking about how we want to develop in the next 5 years. We would like your views about how we can progress, whether you are a regular user or have not visited us before. Please take a few minutes to complete our survey, which can be downloaded here and completed electronically to be emailed back to us. Thank you!
Animal Angst
We suffered another attack on our hens in January, on a busy day in broad daylight We lost most of the hens and our pet rabbits and guinea pigs. We will restock soon, but meantime cannot risk letting the remaining animals outdoors until we have reviewed fencing. Thank you to Gayhurst Primary School who have helped us to purchase 2 new guinea pigs as a start.
Meeting of the Mayors
We were delighted to receive The Speaker for London Borough of Hackney, Councillor Mutalip Unluer and his wife, who met their counterparts, Alan and Jean Sugden, the Mayor and Mayoress of Tenterden at Kench Hill. It was their first visit so they toured the house and grounds, showing special interest in the progress of our new straw bale classroom and comparing local politics over lunch. Pupils from Gayhurst Primary in Hackney were very impressed by the gold chains!
NEW! Adventurous Outdoor Activities
We can now arrange a full range of outdoor activities such as archery, abseiling, high wires, climbing and raft-building etc. The sessions are taught by fully qualified instructors at a Kent County Council facility nearby. Costs £4 per pupil/hour - minimum of 4 hours is recommended to take part in 3 activities. Advance booking required - up to a year ahead, so please contact us as soon as possible if you want to plan this. |
