We welcome other groups to Kench Hill during school holidays and weekends (Fri pm to Sun), particularly those from Hackney and other inner London boroughs with or without tuition from our resident Head of Centre. The Centre has been assessed as a 3-star Group Hostel by Visit Britain. It is clean, comfortable and well-maintained, an ideal venue for family learning or holiday projects, day or residential training/team-building courses, yoga classes or simply as a relaxing retreat for families and groups, including wedding receptions and other celebrations.

We can provide self-catered or catered visits. Self-catering groups have the use of our fully equipped kitchen with electric ovens, fridge, freezer. We also have a gas BBQ outside for summer weather. Groups can bring their own food, or organise deliveries from local suppliers. We can also arrange supplies for certain groups. There are supermarkets in Tenterden open until 10pm (4pm on Sundays), and various options for dining including fish and chips, Chinese, Indian and Turkish, plus pub food. Home delivery is limited however (no pizzas or burgers!)

We can provide a range of catering options on-site, but may not be able to provide a fully catered service at weekends. Our cooks prepare healthy, balanced home cooked meals, using fresh local ingredients where possible. We encourage young visitors to eat plenty of salad, fruits and vegetables. Many of our menu options are vegetarian and we can cater for most dietary needs.

The minibus is available for use by qualified drivers.

• No smoking is allowed in the building.
• No pets in the building.
• Bed linen can be provided.
• The Centre is in a rural area. Nearest public transport and shops are 2 miles away.
• We operate with a minimal staff. We expect visitors to leave the Centre clean and tidy.
