Kench Hill Bursary (LB Hackney Schools Only)

Hackney pupils in receipt of free school meals are entitled to a Bursary provided by The Kench Hill Charity, if funds are available. Schools should complete the relevant form with the pupils’ details. The value is currently up to £50 for a peak rate week, which will be deducted from the final invoice to the school after your visit. Other families who get income support, working tax or child tax credits may also be eligible and should be supplied with an application form, to be forwarded to Kench Hill before the visit. Since 2014 the central School Journey Grant funding has been cut and advice from Hackney Learning Trust is for school to deploy the Pupil Premium.  Kench Hill Charity is committed to ensuring access for all pupils and is striving to raise funds to continue offering a grant. To find out more about the Kench Hill Bursary click here.
