NEW PROCEDURE FROM 2009.
We now taking bookings at any time, up to 18 months in advance. Simply check current availability here then email or telephone the Centre to reserve your chosen date(s). We will send a booking confirmation form and invoice for a non-refundable deposit of £500 per visit. Once the signed form and deposit is returned to Kench Hill your booking is secured. We will no longer be charging a membership fee.
To be fair, schools are encouraged to choose different times each year, alternating between summer and winter. If you want to bring 2+ groups in an academic year you may be restricted to less popular periods, but these groups can come consecutively or in different terms. Hackney schools are given priority at the start of each year, but this is then opened up to other users. We aim to have all weeks booked up by the end of the summer term preceding the new academic year.
Non-Hackney Schools
A few spaces are available for non-Hackney school groups each year, usually during off-peak weeks. Non-Hackney schools can enquire for bookings from April prior to the following academic year. Cost per pupil is currently £140-£175 per pupil based on a minimum group size of 27 (excluding transport and extra charges). You will be charged a deposit payable once confirmation is received.
Bookings are now invited for 20010-11. Telephone 01580 762073 or contact us by email.
Terms and Conditions of booking (T&C)
Once we have received your booking and allocated your chosen date you will be sent a confirmation which should be signed by the headteacher. This also confirms that you have read and understood the terms and conditions, particularly the cancellation policy as specified in the general Kench Hill Charity Terms and Conditions downloadable here. You must also read the School Party Agreement, which outlines your and our responsibilities.
School journey grant (LB Hackney schools only)
Hackney pupils in receipt of free school meals are entitled to a school journey grant, provided by The Learning Trust (Pupil Benefits) and administered by Kench Hill Centre. Schools should complete the relevant form with the pupils’ details. The value is currently £75, which will be deducted from the final invoice to the school after your visit. Other families who get income support, working tax or child tax credits may also be eligible and should be supplied with an application form, to be forwarded to Kench Hill before the visit.
